On the morning of January 11, a near-tragedy occurred in the city of Kamianka-Buzka when a fire broke out in one of the multi-storey buildings. An 87-year-old apartment owner was evacuated from the third floor and immediately taken into medical care.
As a result of the incident, domestic belongings were damaged over an area of 2 square meters, and the likely cause of the fire was a heater. The fire was completely contained by 09:11 AM.
The public is reminded of the necessary precautions when using heaters and advised not to leave them unattended to prevent further incidents. In case of a fire, the rescue service urges to call 101.
