Patrol policemen provided first aid to a bleeding woman

Recently, on Medova Pechera Street, Yaroslav Smilyants, the company’s deputy commander, and his partner Volodymyr Varenitsa were approached by citizens who reported that a woman was bleeding to death nearby.

Taking the first aid kit, the police ran to the store where the woman was standing. She had fallen down the stairs and, caught on a metal hook, severely injured her arm.

The police took off the woman’s jacket and found a large laceration. The inspectors applied a tourniquet and stopped the massive bleeding. Patrol policemen kept in contact with the 65-year-old woman until paramedics arrived. That same evening, the woman’s son wrote to the police and said that she was fine and thanked them for saving his mother.
