Social Workers Help Homeless Woman Find Shelter in Lviv

After the persistent work of the Lviv city administration and cooperation with religious communities, a homeless woman who had been living in a tent near the Victoria Gardens shopping center was able to find temporary shelter. Halyna, as this woman is called, finally agreed to move to the charity center of the Congregation of the Sisters of Albertine, where she will be provided with necessary care and support.

The source of the news, the social work center, had been dealing with her case for over two years, regularly providing food and clothing, as well as involving medical professionals and social workers. Despite numerous attempts to engage Halyna in more stable living conditions, she previously rejected all offers.

Thanks to the team’s efforts, supported by the city council and the humanitarian department, not only was Halyna relocated to the shelter, but she was also provided with the necessary aid.
