In Lviv, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine awarded medals to volunteers and military personnel

Volunteers and military personnel were awarded medals of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine at the Lviv City Council today on the occasion of the International Volunteer Day and the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Among the honored volunteers is a third-grader from one of the Lviv schools.

In particular, for a conscious civic stance, active volunteering for the good of the state, the award – badge “Badge of Honor” – was awarded to: Nataliya Shelestak – co-founder of the “Center for Volunteering and Protection” BO, deputy of the Lviv City Council, Yuliya Stefanyuk – head of the “World Central Kitchen” mission » in Ukraine, and Denys Rynskyi – coordinator of the volunteer staff at the Main Railway Station of Lviv.

Serhii Kanyuka – volunteer, head of the BF “Where Hope Lives” was awarded the Medal “For Assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine”; Andrii Salyuk – a public figure, head of the “Lviv Knight” BO, and Melania-Maria Podolyak – a public figure, volunteer, coordinator of the BO “Serhiy Prytula Charitable Foundation” in Lviv.

Yury Napora, a 3rd-grade student of I.Frank Lyceum No. 51, was awarded a certificate from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

“Today we have the honor to celebrate the volunteers who have contributed, are contributing and will continue to contribute to helping the Armed Forces and Ukrainians in need. Lviv really showed a unique example. By the way, the city claims the status of volunteer capital of Europe. The determination ceremony will take place in Gdańsk in a few days.

Special thanks to the Minister of Defense for supporting our submission and today we have the honor to carry out the official awarding procedure,” said Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy.

The military also received awards. For example, for personal patriotism, protection of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the state, the following were awarded the “Badge of Honor” badge:

– Anton Petrivskyi – senior soldier, senior operator of the 3rd anti-tank detachment of the 2nd anti-tank guided missile platoon of the anti-tank guided missile battery of the 80th separate airborne assault brigade of the Airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a member of the NGO “Society of the Future”;

– Vasyl Galamay – junior sergeant, sanitary instructor of the medical center of the 3rd battalion of the 46th separate assault brigade of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, deputy head of the Halytskyi Department of Social Assistance at the Lviv City Territorial Center of Social Services;

– Maksym Koshelnyk – sergeant, commander of the 1st rifle division of the 2nd rifle platoon of the 2nd rifle company of the 215th battalion of the 125th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, landscaper of the “Green Lviv” LKP;

– Taras Podibka (posthumously) – soldier, gunner of the 4th airborne assault detachment of the 2nd airborne assault platoon of the 4th airborne assault company of the 2nd airborne assault battalion of the 80th separate airborne assault brigade of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, leading telecommunication engineer of LKP “City Center of Information Technologies”;

– Yevgenia Parvasyuk – senior soldier, senior grenade launcher driver of the 1st Artillery Battery of the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, deputy director of the Lviv Center for providing services to combatants.

By the way, International Volunteer Day is celebrated annually on December 5. And December 6 is the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
