Events on the occasion of the opening of the IPC were attended by many guests. The following took part in the presentation of the fire brigade: the head of the Lviv District Military State Administration – Khrystyna Zamula, the head of the Lviv District Council – Andrii Sulym, Oleksandr Voloshynskyi – head of the Lviv Regional Office of the USAID project “HOVERLA”, Volodymyr Fedyuk – head of the private enterprise “LAMA PLUS”, and as well as colleagues from the voluntary fire brigade of the Republic of Poland, headed by Stanislav Kelykh, and representatives of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region.

This local fire brigade was created to guarantee safe living conditions for the residents of the village. Giche and surrounding villages. The functioning of the local fire department is, first of all, an investment in safety, and as a result, human lives are saved and property saved from fire. Currently, five rescuers will work in the fire brigade.

“Local fire brigades are a necessary component of security in remote settlements, because time is of the essence in emergency situations. And the local fire brigade, which we are opening today, will make it possible to reduce the time of the unit’s arrival at the scene of the fire as much as possible,” said the head of the Lviv District Military State Administration, Khrystyna Zamula

During the opening ceremony, Valery Globenko, the first deputy head of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region, addressed those present with a welcome speech and noted that the creation of fire brigades is the key to safety in such a difficult time. Addressing the rescuers, he wished them calm shifts and as few alarm calls as possible.

Honored guests cut the symbolic ribbon at the entrance to the fire station, after which representatives of the clergy consecrated the premises where the firefighters will serve, as well as the fire engine, wished the newly created team God’s blessing and to fulfill their duty with dignity.
