In one of the medical institutions of the Lviv region, the second stage of the rehabilitation department for Ukrainian defenders was opened

Caring philanthropists and business representatives were involved in the arrangement of the chambers.

Today, November 28, in one of the medical institutions of the Lviv region, the second stage of the rehabilitation department for Ukrainian defenders was opened.

The opening of the second-stage wards was made possible thanks to the project “Restoration of the rehabilitation department for defenders of Ukraine”, the implementation of which was initiated by the head of the Lviv OVA, Maksym Kozytskyi, and the head of the International Staff for Aid to Ukrainians, Hanna Krysyuk.

“I really want to help people who want something. The regional administration has become such a platform that unites people. In addition, Lviv OVA financed the construction of a sports ground near the medical facility, now we will repair the reception department. We want to build a modern hospital so that the military can receive quality medical services.

Thank you to the head of the medical facility, because the civilian hospital during the war took on a great burden of treating our defenders. A huge thank you to Hanna Krysyuk and sponsors, for whom it is important to help others in difficult times. They lead us forward and show how we can do great things together!”, Maksym Kozytsky emphasized.

For help and support in the implementation of the project, the head of Lviv Oblast presented donors, sponsors and all participants of the project with thanks from Lviv OVA.

Thanks to the cooperation of the authorities, donors and volunteers, ten thematic wards with murals and motivational quotes were restored, as well as the administrative part of the rehabilitation complexes, inpatient, medical, bathrooms and corridors – a total of more than 700 square meters. In addition, inventory, technical equipment, household appliances, refrigerators, televisions, hygiene products, bed linen, books, etc. were purchased within the scope of the project.

In ten wards of the rehabilitation department, 50 people can be treated at the same time.

“For the last six months, this project has been key for us. We understood that boys who have lost arms and legs are in a difficult psycho-emotional state and deserve to undergo rehabilitation and treatment in comfortable conditions. Almost everyone who joins the work of the International Headquarters for Aid to Ukrainians (IHA) and the Lviv Regional State Administration unanimously supported the idea of restoring the rehabilitation department for defenders of Ukraine.

They not only carried out repair work, the wards were filled with equipment, inventory, and books for comfortable treatment. All the wards were consecrated. I thank all donors and partners, the head of the Lviv Regional State Administration for their help in organizing the project. Together we are moving towards victory and treat those who defend the borders of our country with dignity, respect and honor!” – shared Hanna Krysyuk.

The project has been ongoing since May and consisted of two phases. In the process of implementation, new partners joined the project.

We will remind that the first five wards of the first phase of the rehabilitation department were opened on August 22.
