Yesterday two people were hospitalized in Lviv region due to a snake bite

On May 29, at 8:12 p.m., rescuers received a report that a man, born in 1980, a resident of the village of Wolf of Sambir district, diagnosed with a snake bite of the left tibia. The victim’s condition is moderate.

The diagnosis was a snake bite. A woman, born in 1941, a resident of the village of Borynechi of the Stryi district. The condition of the victim is moderate.

The Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv Oblast appeals to the residents of the oblast to be careful and attentive when going to the forest or to nature. Be careful where you can meet reptiles: tall grass, bushes, forest.

Remember, if you happen to see a snake next to you – do not panic, do not approach and do not make sudden movements, and calmly move away. Reptiles have poor eyesight and hearing, but their bodies are very good at capturing the vibrations of the earth at a distance of 10-15 meters.

When going to the forest, it is better to wear high, thick shoes that the snake will not bite.
