Rescuers Quickly Extinguished a Car Fire in Stryi District
On February 26 at 17:23, the Rescue Service \”101\” received a report of a car fire in Berezdivtsi village on Ivan Franko Street, Stryi district. The fire occurred in an \”Opel Vectra\” car.
Rescuers’ Quick Response
Rescuers from Novyi Rozdil promptly arrived at the scene. It was discovered that during the drive, the driver noticed smoke coming from under the hood, after which he immediately stopped, called the emergency services, and together with witnesses, attempted to extinguish the fire. However, they were unable to cope with the fire on their own.
At 17:35, firefighters localized the fire, and by 17:45, they had fully extinguished the fire in the engine compartment of the car over an area of 0.5 square meters, saving the vehicle from complete destruction.
