Fire in Pomoryany: Swift Actions by Rescuers Prevented Tragedy
On March 6 at 13:58, a report was received about a fire in an outbuilding in the village of Pomoryany, Zolochiv district.

By the time firefighters arrived, the building was engulfed in flames. There was a danger of the fire spreading to a nearby residential house. The fire caused thick smoke, which required the rescuers to extinguish the blaze while using respiratory protective equipment. Strong winds complicated the firefighters’ efforts.
Thanks to the swift and professional actions of the firefighters, further spread of the fire was prevented, and the fire was extinguished at 14:41. However, the fire destroyed the building’s roof and dry grass over an area of 50 square meters. The residential house was saved.
- Four rescuers and one piece of special equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
