More trains will run from Lviv to the Carpathians on weekends

Ukrzaliznytsia has scheduled additional trains from Kyiv to Lviv and from there to Rakhiv and Kolomyia in the mountains for the weekend of the end of June.

“We see an increase in passenger demand for trains from the capital to the mountains. We are adding more seats on peak days and scheduling additional trains between Kyiv and Lviv, as well as between Lviv and Kolomyia and Rakhiv,” Ukrzaliznytsia said on 21 June.

The additional train 191/192 Kyiv – Lviv will run on 22, 28 and 30 June. It will depart from Kyiv at 8:18 a.m. and arrive in Lviv at 14:59 p.m. It will provide a convenient way to get further into the mountains, as it has an agreed transfer of only 23 minutes to the additional train 816/815 Lviv-Rakhiv.

Train 192/191 Lviv – Kyiv will depart from Lviv on 22, 28 and 30 June at 14:35 and arrive in Kyiv at 21:40.

Train 816/815 Lviv-Rakhiv will depart from Lviv on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 15:22 and arrive in Rakhiv at 21:19. In the opposite direction, train No. 816/815 Rakhiv – Lviv will depart from Rakhiv on 22 June on Saturdays and Sundays at 3:48 and arrive in Lviv at 10:07.

Starting 21 June, train No. 815 Kolomyia – Lviv will also run every Friday. It will depart at 6:30 and arrive in Lviv at 10:07. Train No. 816/815 will run in both directions through the stations of Yasinia, Lazeshchyna, Vorokhta, Tatariv-Bukovel, Yaremche, Nadvirna, Ivano-Frankivsk and other tourist cities.

Train tickets can be purchased in the Ukrzaliznytsia app, on the website, via chatbot and at railway station ticket offices.
