Yana Stepanenko: An Example of Resilience at the Tokyo Marathon

Yana Stepanenko ran a marathon in Tokyo, raising funds for prosthetics

Light comes after the darkest night under any circumstances.

⚡️⚡️Just now, Yana Stepanenko completed the 5-kilometer distance at the Tokyo marathon. This thirteen-year-old girl lost both her legs two years ago but did not give up. Yana started her journey of prosthetics and rehabilitation. Thanks to her inner strength and extraordinary self-work, she has already overcome the distance of a world marathon for the second time. Today, Yana strongly resembles Ukraine — which, against all odds, moves forward and overcomes all obstacles. But she is not just running. Yana is raising funds for sports prosthetics for 36-year-old Oleksandr Zhavnenko from Lviv. You can support her by donating to the fundraiser in the comments. UNBROKEN Ukraine.
