From August 1, the movement of passenger cars will be restored through the “Krakivets” public transport network

The resumption of the movement of passenger buses through the checkpoint “Krakivets” will be announced later

From tomorrow, August 1, the movement of passenger cars through the checkpoint “Krakivets” will resume. It is not yet known when passenger buses will be allowed through, the State Border Service of Ukraine informs on Facebook.

“From 08:00 on August 1, 2022, the passage of passenger cars will be resumed through the checkpoint “Krakivets”, located in the Lviv region. The start of the passage of passenger buses will be notified additionally,” the message reads.

The DPSU asks citizens to take the information into account and choose this border crossing point.

We will remind you that from July 18, 2022, work on the improvement of the checkpoint as part of the “Open Borders” project began in “Krakowka”. In this regard, the passage of passenger cars for departure from Ukraine has been suspended.

They planned to build a canopy over the passport and customs control pavilions here. There is also a parking lot for passenger buses and a corresponding room with a scanner for passing customs and passport control of passengers. The throughput capacity of trucks in the direction of departure from Ukraine has increased by almost 50%. It was modernized within the framework of the “Open Border” pilot project.

The passage of cars and trucks was divided, the number of lanes for freight transport was increased from 4 to 10.

The main goal of the project is to increase the passage of goods from Ukraine, in particular grain.
