The threat of a missile strike, farewell to the defenders, a carol for the Armed Forces: from the main daily in Lviv Oblast

Maksym Kozytskyi, the head of the Lviv OVA, told about what is worth knowing about the life of Lviv Oblast in a day.

In the morning, the air alert lasted more than three hours in the Lviv region. Fortunately and thanks to our air defense defenders in various areas, we were out of danger. But 61 missiles were destroyed over Kyiv and the Kyiv region alone. As of this hour, more than 40 victims are known in the capital. One woman died. Therefore, please, if you hear an air raid signal the next time – remember that it is extremely unwise and dangerous to stay outside the shelter.

What else is worth knowing about the life of the Lviv region in a day:

The warhead of the X-101 missile, which was found on December 31 in the territory of Bibrska hromada, 600 meters from the nearest houses, was safely defused by explosives technicians.

If you find suspicious objects or fragments of enemy air targets, do not approach them in any case, and even more so – do not touch them. They can threaten your life. Call 101 or 102 immediately and report the find.

Today, Lviv Oblast says goodbye to eight defenders. Oleg Cherneta, Mykhailo Kunanets, Ruslan Narok, Yuriy Demchyshyn, Ihor Ivanyuk, Andriy Ostapchuk, Andriy Bilovskyi, Konstantin Gruzin died defending Ukraine. Eternal memory to Heroes. Sincere condolences to the family. Here is more information about our defenders, whom, unfortunately, we lost, and for whose death the enemy will definitely receive retribution: https://loda.gov.ua/news/88621

In Mostysk, on the Alley of Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, memorial plaques were opened to the Defenders of the community who gave their lives on the battlefield. Now there are the names of more than 40 local residents. Bright memory to our compatriots.

The children’s collective of the People’s House of the Horyslavychi village of the Shegyniv community collected 23,000 hryvnias. The money was transferred to the needs of our soldiers. Another 20,000 hryvnias were collected for the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the youth of the village of Glynytsia in the Yavoriv community. I know that almost all communities of our region held such charitable gatherings. Thank you to everyone who supports those who keep us all in order as a state!

Yesterday, as every year on January 1, Lviv Oblast celebrated the anniversary of Stepan Bandera’s birthday. A great commemoration took place in Lviv. In Sokal, a 113-meter national flag was unfurled and flown through the city center. The memory of the head of the OUN leadership was honored in all districts of our region.

The enemy was very vocal due to the fact that our national memory is alive. You know that the wreckage of enemy “shaheeds” destroyed the museum of UPA Corporal Roman Shukhevich in Bilogorshche. The building of the Lviv National University of Nature Management in Dublyany was also damaged. But we also have a real miracle: the bust of Roman Shukhevich by Mykhailo Chereshniovskyi, which was considered lost due to the attack on the museum, actually survived! It was discovered under numerous rubble. The chest is slightly damaged, but saved! Now it is in the funds of the Lviv Historical Museum.

“And where there were ruins and stones, flowers will grow.” No matter what the occupiers invent, they will not overcome us.
