As we informed earlier (https://lviv.gp.gov.ua/ua/news.html?_m=publications&_t=rec&id=324705&fp=30), at the request of the prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, 315,000 packs were to be handed over to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine cigarettes
As of today, the specified cigarettes worth a total of UAH 20 million have actually been transferred to the Armed Forces.
For reference, we note that these goods were seized during the pre-trial investigation of criminal proceedings on the fact of illegal production and storage for the purpose of sale of excisable goods, committed by a group of persons with prior collusion (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1, Part 2 of Article 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, residents of Lviv Oblast organized an underground workshop for the manufacture of cigarettes under various brands. They planned to sell these products in various regions of Ukraine.
