At the event, they will talk about the spirit and taste of festive traditions that prevailed in the Kamenyar house.
December 27 at 4 p.m. in the Lviv Ivan Franko National Literary and Memorial Museum (Frank House) there will be a meeting-conversation with literary critic, French scholar Natalya Tikholoz “Christmas in the Frank Family”.
“Christmas Eve and Christmas in the house of the Franks were among the most revered holidays – as in the national calendar of all Ukrainians. In these fabulous and unusual winter days, the family always gathered together. It was like that from time immemorial… It was like that in the paternal family of Yakov the blacksmith, it was like that in the family of Ivan Franko…” – the museum notes.
Also, visitors to the meeting will be presented with the collection “Frank’s embroidered shirt”, which was recreated by the craftswoman of one of the Ukrainian clothing brands from the embroidered blouse of Olga Franko from Bilevichy, which is kept in the Museum’s funds.
The event is charitable – all collected funds will be transferred to charity.
