Athletes of the Drohobytsk Club “Olympus”, representing Ukraine at the “European Cup-2024” in ballroom dancing in the city of Novy Targ, took nine first places and one second place. Young athletes won the championship and proved their skills on the floor next to representatives of Poland, Moldova, Romania, Georgia, Israel, and Italy.
In particular, at the Drohobych International Competitions, Oleksandr Vovdenko, Zlata Stetskiv, Elizaveta Savchenko, Ilya Shugailo, Marta Grom, Nikita Matviyev, Zlata-Maria Khizhevska presented.
Elizaveta Savchenko, the youngest athlete of “Olympus”, is only 5 years old. However, despite her young age, the girl managed to take three first places in different subcategories.
In general, the people of Drohobych won the following categories at the competition: Baby Beginners category, Juvenal 1 E – Oleksandr Vovdenko and Zlata Savchenko took 1st place.
Elizaveta Savchenko won 1st place in the Girls under 6, Girls solo school categories.
In the Juniors 1 H categories, Ilya Shugailo and Marta Grom took 1st place. Also, Nikita Matviyev and Zlata-Maria Khizhevska became winners in the Juvenals 1 H, Juvenals 1 E, and Juvenals 2 E categories.
The coach of the young Drohobytsi winners and prize-winners of the International Sports and Ballroom Dance Competition was Pavlo Stetskiv – a judge of the international IDSA category, a trainer of the international IDSA category, an honored artist of pop art of Ukraine.
