This was the slogan of the second (regional) stage of the All-Ukrainian children’s and youth military-patriotic game “Sokol” (“Dzhura”) for the younger age group (6-10 years old).
On May 10-12, eleven swarms from nine territorial communities of the region took part in the simplest elements of military and patriotic training at the Karpaty tourist base near Skole, competed in a Cossack tourist obstacle course, demonstrated their knowledge of orderly conduct, and showed their knowledge of Ukrainian history.
The juniors also participated in the workshops “Navigating the terrain by local features”, making a patriotic bracelet, and recognizing medicinal plants “How Cossacks were treated”.
The program also included learning patriotic songs and teamwork through games such as In Search of Polubotko’s Treasure, Brave Cossacks, and Zaporizhzhia Wild Field. They also visited the Skole District Museum of History and Local Lore.
At the All-Ukrainian stage of the game in the younger age group, Lviv region will be represented by the “Kozachaty” swarm of the Strelkovo territorial community.
With a lot of positive emotions, awards and experience, new friends, the youngest Dzhurivka participants left looking forward to new meetings!
