Choreographic teams of Lviv Oblast collected 69,000 hryvnias for the needs of the Armed Forces

The funds were collected during the charity festival held as part of the art project “For you, soldier!”.

On December 22, the 8th All-Ukrainian Charity Festival-Competition of folk, classical, modern and ballroom choreography “Winter Patterns-2023” was held in the Palace of Aesthetic Education of School Youth. 33 art collectives of the Lviv Region took part in the festival, which is more than 700 people. Winners and participants received awards.

The purpose of the art project “For you, soldier!”, which was launched in 2022 with the support of the Department of Culture, Nationalities and Religions of the Lviv OVA, is to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. To date, the charitable contributions of the participants have already amounted to more than a million hryvnias, which were used to purchase and transfer to the military units the necessary technical devices for them.

“Our national choreographic art unites and strengthens us. I express my sincere gratitude to all participants of the festival for the preservation and development of Ukrainian traditions. The project will be continued next year. We are sure that with joint efforts we will bring our victory over the Rashists closer,” Pobyeda Kharisov, head of the Lviv Regional Branch of the National Choreographic Union of Ukraine, Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine, emphasized.
