Lviv trams may be left without carols

There will probably be no carols in Lviv trams and trolleybuses. Because of the law on acoustic violence

The information from the Lviv Organ Hall that all Lviv trams and trolleybuses will play carols during the Christmas holidays is incorrect.

This was reported by the press service of the Lviv City Council.

This year, if carols are played in Lviv, they will be performed only in one tram specially decorated for Christmas. Currently, the city council is still considering this issue, as well as the entire concept of Christmas celebration, so there is no final decision yet.

Therefore, the information provided by the Lviv Organ Hall that carols will be played in all Lviv trams and trolleybuses during the Christmas holidays is incorrect. The Gomin choir did indeed record Christmas songs, carols, and shchedrivkas in the Lviv Organ Hall. But they are likely to be performed only in a special, themed carriage.

The last time carols were played in Lviv trams and trolleybuses during the Christmas season was back in 2022/2023. At the time, it was announced that this practice would not be continued in the following years due to the law on acoustic violence in transport.
