The Lviv Organ Hall is starting the festive Christmas-New Year season

December at the Lviv House of Organ and Chamber Music will be full of surprises. Concerts within the framework of the “Music and War” organ festival, the diversity of the program, works and performers from all parts of our country.

On December 18, 17 performers from all over Ukraine will come to Lviv for the Music and War Organ Festival. This large-scale concert hall event is held annually. The purpose of this year’s Music and War festival was to proclaim that art in times of crisis can support those in need.

From December 1, visitors can expect 15 concerts of organ music and 16 performers from different cities of Ukraine. Valeriya Balakhovska, Volodymyr Koshuba, Iryna Kalinovska, Iryna Kharechko (Kyiv), Stanislav Kalinin (Kharkiv), Svitlana Bardaus (Chernivtsi), Olena Udras (Odesa), Nataliya Moldovan (Khmelnytskyi), Olga Chundak and Nataliya Lendel (Uzhgorod), Petro Sukhotskyi (Lutsk), Svitlana Pozdnysheva, Olena Matselyukh, Mark Novakovich, Vitaly Dvorovy, Serhii Pavliv (Lviv).

On December 14, there will be an opportunity to hear the mystical symphonic canvases of Schubert, Liszt and Bruckner, which captivate with their beauty, performed by the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Luhansk Regional Philharmonic. Conductor – Ivan Ostapovich.

The second half of December means a holiday. Christmas, Saint Nicholas, New Year, and victory is just around the corner. So let’s celebrate together!

Favorite programs of Vivaldi’s music “Seasons”. On December 21 and 28, in the organ and violin duet, we will hear all the moods of the seasons from the great Italian composer.

On December 22, treat yourself to a fairy tale, together with the symphony orchestra of the Luhansk Regional Philharmonic, DJ Evgeny Chervony and the music of Edvard Grieg at the symphonic video show “Per Gunt”.

On December 23, 24 and 25, “Christmas organ music” will be played in the organ hall.

The first two concerts will be played by an organist from Kyiv, Volodymyr Koshuba. And on Christmas itself, we are waiting for the soloist of the organ hall, Nadiya Velichko.

On December 30, we will hear favorite carols and holiday compositions performed by the Lviv Municipal Choir “Homin” and organist Svitlana Pozdnysheva. Singing along is allowed.

And right before the New Year, on December 31 at 3:00 p.m., we are preparing to celebrate together with the soloists of the Organ Hall and the “Homin” choir, who will create a warm, truly family atmosphere.
