Chopin’s waltzes and nocturnes in the lobby of the Lviv hospital. Today, September 2, the soloist of the Lviv Academic House of Organ and Chamber Music Andrii Makarevych played the piano at the St. Panteleimon Hospital of the First Territorial Medical Association of Lviv.
In this way, the musician decided to support the military, who are undergoing treatment and rehabilitation at the medical facility.
Andrii Makarevych performed Chopin’s works for the military and their families. Music was also enjoyed by doctors, patients and hospital visitors.
The event took place within the framework of the “The City Heals” program with the support of the Culture Department of the Lviv City Council.
This is not the first time that musicians perform for patients treated in Lviv medical facilities. Earlier, the Luhansk Regional Philharmonic Quartet played a mini-concert at St. Luke’s Hospital. In this way, the musicians express their gratitude and support to the Ukrainian defenders, who are currently being treated in city hospitals.
We will remind you that “The City Heals” is a city program of socio-cultural rehabilitation of servicemen who are treated or undergoing rehabilitation in medical facilities located on the territory of the Lviv City Territorial Community. As part of it, Ukrainian soldiers are offered to discover the rich history of Lviv from the stories of tour guides, visit museums, theaters, visit castles, concerts or exhibitions, enjoy the city from observation decks and among cozy streets, feel it to taste.
