On April 1 at 2:00 p.m., the Fine Arts Studio of the Hotkevich Palace will hold a master class “Lemkiv Easter Egg” for children and parents.
“Don’t miss the opportunity to create family Easter eggs! This time, parents will be able to take part in the workshop, create their own Easter egg and help their child,” the organizers say.
Why the Lemki pysanka? Since ancient times, the Lemka people inhabited the western slopes of the Carpathians, where their unique culture was created. It is significantly different from the Easter cards of other regions of Ukraine and has its own symbolism: the sun is a symbol of life and light, a star is the daughter of the sun, swallows and trees are harbingers of spring.
At the workshop in the Hotkevich Palace, visitors can expect:
· choosing a drawing sketch for an Easter egg;
· creating a picture with a heated pen with beeswax;
· coloring Easter eggs in the desired colors (and there will be many to choose from).
The cost of participation in the master class is 150 hryvnias. Tickets can be purchased at the link: https://2event.com/events/1866656#/
