Two-language audio guides have been created about the history of the Staroskvariav iconostasis

As part of the implementation of the project “Museum “Staroskvariavsky iconostasis of the XVI-XVIII centuries: digitization of the monument and creation of an inclusive exposition”, audio guides were created in Ukrainian and English.

The audio assistant tells about Ukrainian icon painting, the history of the church in Stara Skvaryava, the ancient iconostasis, and church icons.

The project is implemented by the Lviv Museum of the History of Religion with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.

The Staroskvaryav iconostasis is a unique object of sacred art of the 16th-18th centuries, which is located in the Church of Archangel Michael (now a branch of the communal Lviv Museum of the History of Religion) near Zhovkva. In the museum, you can see icons from different times and trace the evolution of Ukrainian icon painting in one attraction.

You can visit the museum every day, except Monday, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the address of Lviv Region, Zhovkiv OTG, village Stara Skvaryava, str. T. Shevchenko, 2a.
