This year’s European Heritage Days in Lviv attracted over 2,400 visitors

This year’s European Heritage Days, which took place in Lviv on 13-15 September, brought together more than 2,400 visitors and residents of the city. Over the course of three days, 107 events took place, involving 95 speakers and 49 volunteers.

The European Heritage Days in Lviv have been held with the support of the Council of Europe for fourteen years in a row. This year’s theme is “Routes, Networks and Connections”.

Despite the bad weather, 86% of registered people attended the events.

The greatest excitement was caused by the events:

Iosyp Hronsky. Lviv: historical studies

Astronomy at Lviv University: Past and Present

Technical Higher School in Lviv in the network of polytechnic education institutions in Central Europe in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries

Imagination, time, (in)life, technology – a tour of the House 42

Where the dead help the living: a visit to the Museum of Diseases

It is interesting to note that the first registrations closed within 4 minutes of the start, which indicates the interest of residents in the European Heritage Days project.
