Roman Shukhevych honored in Krakowiec

On the day of the memorial service in Yavorivska Street in Krakivtsi, Roman Shukhevych’s native village, local youth, villagers, and representatives of the authorities and clergy gathered to honor the memory of the prominent political and military figure of the Ukrainian revolutionary liberation movement.

Pupils and teachers of the Roman Shukhevych secondary school in Krakovets, together with pupils from the Krakovets Educational and Rehabilitation Center, gathered at the prayer assembly near the monument to Roman Shukhevych. Together, we prayed for the peace of mind of the souls of all the Heroes of Ukraine and thanked those who are still defending it with arms in their hands with loud applause.

Roman Shukhevych is a special figure in the history of Ukraine who made an incredible contribution to the national revival and the struggle for independence. Born in 1907, Roman Shukhevych became a symbol of courage and commitment to the idea of a free Ukraine. He was not only a military leader, but also an outstanding organizer and strategist who strengthened the spirit of the nation and supported its desire to fight for freedom.
