In Lviv, on Chornomorskaya Street, the street playground is being renovated and soon there will be the first full-fledged 3×3 streetball/basketball court.
Previously, there was an old metal structure over 6 meters high on this site. It was dismantled due to its unsafe condition, and it was decided to build a basketball court in its place. Sportresurs is in charge of the project.
It is interesting that the overhaul of this court was funded by Redbull Ukraine. In turn, Sportresurs will install a fence here, and together with the district administration, they will improve the territory and make the playground inclusive: access for people in wheelchairs and a ramp.
The streetball/basketball court is made according to FIBA standards, so various professional events are already planned.
It is planned to open the court for residents in about two weeks.
