Exhibition of paintings by Tetiana Duman-Skop “Revelation” opened in Sambir

The exhibition is open to the public until 8 March.

These days, an exhibition of paintings by Ukrainian artist, art critic, activist of the Revolution of Dignity, and volunteer Tetyana Duman has opened at the Boykivshchyna Historical and Ethnographic Museum in Sambir. The exhibition presents sacred paintings on various subjects and other works from various art projects. The works were presented by the artist’s husband Lev Skop. This was reported by the Sambir District State Administration.

Tetiana is a representative of the wave of revival of contemporary Ukrainian sacred art. The works presented at the exhibition make it possible to trace the development of the author’s handwriting and individual artistic style. The exhibition includes both sacred paintings on various subjects and other works from different projects.

The artist’s creative handwriting clearly shows that she continued the traditions of the Boychukists in Ukrainian painting, while developing a unique individual style. The paintings and icons demonstrate an interesting, extraordinary approach to philosophical understanding and artistic interpretation of biblical subjects.

The artist’s works are kept in state collections and numerous private collections in Ukraine and around the world in Poland, Germany, Spain, Lithuania, and others. About a dozen works were selected for the funds of the Lviv Art Gallery by the Hero of Ukraine Borys Voznytskyi.

The exhibition will last until 8 March.

By the way, while the artist was still alive, the Skopiv couple created the auction “Artists for Warriors”, where she sold her works and donated the proceeds to the needs of the Ukrainian army.
