The giant sculpture near the Opera House will stand in Lviv until Saturday

Tomorrow, Saturday, October 28, the giant sculpture “Mr. Arbitrium” will be taken home to Italy. This was reported by the head of the department of external relations and promotion of the Lviv City Council Tetyana Habibrahmanova.

The five-and-a-half-meter tall statue by sculptor Emanuele Giannelli stood in Lviv for four months. It was a free gift to the city from Italian artists, which symbolized the support of Ukraine in this difficult time.

According to the author’s idea, Mr. Arbitrium is the figure of a man who pushes and holds at the same time. It is because of this feature that he was chosen to bring a message of hope to Ukraine, to support the people and the state in this time of sorrow and suffering, and to push back the war, giving space for peace and reconstruction.

Note that the Arbitrium sculpture by Emanuele Giannelli in 2022 was installed in various Italian cities near architectural monuments and modern buildings. No matter where the sculpture was placed, at first it caused considerable discussion among the residents. But later it became a real magnet for citizens and tourists.
