Today, on the birthday of the Great Kobzar, a unique cultural and artistic event ‘Conversation with Shevchenko’ took place in the Velykomostivska community.
Performance of the Chamber Orchestra and Choir ‘Trembita’
The Chamber Orchestra and Choir of the Honored Academic Chapel of Ukraine ‘Trembita’ gifted the audience incredible moments of deep immersion into the poetic and musical world of Taras Shevchenko. From the first chords, the hall was filled with the magic of sounds, and the voices of the choir resonated in the hearts of everyone present. Both little-known works of Kobzar and favorites known to all since childhood were performed.

When Taras’s ‘Testament’ was played, everyone from young to old stood up to pay tribute to this immortal piece. And when it was time for ‘The Mighty Dnieper Roars and Bellows,’ people rose from their seats and, united in a single impulse, sang along with the choir. It was a moment that gave everyone goosebumps…
Every performance was accompanied by thunderous applause, shouts of ‘Bravo!’, and genuine gratitude to the artists. In such moments, you understand: Shevchenko is not just a poet. He is the living soul of our people, who speaks to us across years, through music, through generations.
