Artist Sei Shimura, co-founder of the Japanese public non-profit organization Kids Earth Fund (“KEF”) and his colleagues visited Lviv in August 2022 to hold art workshops with Ukrainian children – and to support children, first of all morally and psychologically.
In cooperation with the Free and Indifferent School of Arts, the Fund covered about 100 children with art classes. The foundation also held workshops with young Ukrainians evacuated to Poland. So far, more than 400 Ukrainian children have been covered by the Foundation’s activities, and 24 master classes have been held.
Also in Lviv, Kids Earth Fund created a mural in support of the Victory of Ukraine. The symbol was designed and drawn by Sei Shimura together with Ukrainian children. The project was made possible with the full support of the National Forestry University.
During the meeting of the representatives of the Foundation with the rector of the National Forestry University, Volodymyr Zahorskyi, possible areas of further cooperation were discussed.
