Father’s Day is celebrated every year on the third Sunday of June.
A small celebration was organized for children and their parents on the territory of the Palace of Arts in Lviv. Someone learned to provide first aid, someone chose for themselves master classes in confectionery painting, drawing, plasticine modeling.
The most active participants liked sports games, twister, dhanga and trampoline. Among other entertainments: aqua painting, relay race, coloring on the asphalt.
The program of the event also featured creative numbers from Lviv Oblast collectives. Dance numbers and patriotic songs were presented to the audience by the children’s group of the Church “Gefsimania”, the exemplary artistic group of folk dance “Samotsvity”, the children’s group “Smileyki” and soloists of the Lviv National Philharmonic named after M. Skoryk.
“A father for a child is an example of reliability, protection, support, to whom you can always come for advice. Today, many dads celebrate this holiday at the front. But even there they do not forget to think about their children, about the purpose of their struggle. None of them would want our children to learn what war is. From the bottom of my heart, I wish that as soon as possible all our defenders return home with victory and hug their children tightly. That’s how it will be!”, – stressed the deputy head of the Lviv OVA, Ivan Sobko.
The event was held with the support of the Department of Culture, Nationalities and Religions, the Children’s Service of the Lviv OVA, the Gethsemane Church, and the Ukrainian Youth of Christ organization.
