The Mayor of Lviv met with the President of France

During the 104th Congress of Mayors and Presidents of French Agglomerations, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy met with French President Emmanuel Macron and discussed issues of support and cooperation in wartime conditions.

“Together with the mayors of Ukrainian cities, we had the opportunity to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron. They talked about supporting our communities in the critical conditions of Russian terror: alternative power generation systems, as well as treatment and rehabilitation of the wounded.

Special thanks for the meeting with the President’s adviser Isabela Dumont. Mrs. Dumont was once the Ambassador of France to Ukraine and knows us well. He knows that we will not give up and that it is worth supporting us.

The topic of supporting Ukraine and resisting Russian terrorist pressure on Europe was one of the top topics at the annual congress of French municipalities. I thank my French colleagues for the opportunity to speak before this important gathering,” said the mayor of Lviv.

As a reminder, during this visit, Andrii Sadovy and Cannes Mayor David Lisnard agreed that from now on Lviv and Cannes will be sister cities.
