The presidents of Ukraine, Lithuania and Poland signed a joint declaration in Lviv based on the results of the second summit of the Lublin Triangle

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi arrived in Lviv on an official visit. In the Potocki Palace, the Head of State met with the President of Poland Andrzej Duda and the President of the Republic of Lithuania Gitanas Nausieda.

Following the results of the second summit of the Lublin Triangle, the parties signed a Joint Declaration, which confirms the centuries-old historical ties between our countries, and also defines the priority areas of cooperation of the Lublin Triangle within the strategic course of Ukraine towards the acquisition of full membership in the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

The document noted the intention of Lithuania and Poland to continue providing strong military, technical, defense, humanitarian and other support to Ukraine.

“At the negotiations, we focused on security issues. I informed our friends about the situation on the front line, Russia’s preparations for a new escalation at the front. We know what to prepare for. We know what the terrorist state is preparing for. We will respond. Now we are doing our best so that any new escalation brings the end of the terrorist state closer. They discussed in detail the supply of weapons to Ukraine and specific opportunities to limit the potential of Russian aggression. On behalf of all Ukrainians, I thank all Poles and Lithuanians for their willingness to be with us until our Victory. I told what progress we have achieved in promoting the Ukrainian peace formula. More and more states are ready to show their leadership in implementing the points of this formula. We paid considerable attention to the issue of Ukraine’s integration into the European Union and NATO. We have the full support of our Polish and Lithuanian partners on the path of this integration. We expect tangible progress in this direction during the NATO summit in Vilnius. We also discussed our cooperation in the protection of our energy industry, this concerns the protection of energy infrastructure from Russian attacks, the restoration of these facilities. According to the results of the negotiations, there is a Joint Declaration. It reflects the key political, humanitarian and other conclusions of today’s meeting,” said the Ukrainian Head of State during a conversation with media representatives following the results of negotiations with the presidents of Lithuania and Poland.

By the way, the next meeting of NATO heads of state and government will take place in Vilnius in July 2023.

The Joint Declaration expressed support for convening the Global Peace Formula Summit to consolidate international support for the peace plan presented by President Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

The declaration also confirms support for the creation of a special international tribunal regarding the crime of aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

The document separately noted the expansion of the Black Sea Grain Initiative to other seaports of our country and the importance of continuing the “Grain from Ukraine” program to strengthen global food security.

With the signing of the Joint Declaration at the level of the presidents of Ukraine, Lithuania and Poland, the support of the Lithuanian and Polish sides for the prospect of Ukraine becoming a member of the EU and NATO as soon as the conditions allow is recorded.

We will remind you that the President of Ukraine will initiate a special summit this winter, which will be dedicated to the Ukrainian formula for peace. We are talking about 10 clear points that are capable of creating a new architecture of the country’s security, in particular radiation, food, energy, as well as the release of all captured and deported Ukrainians. A separate item is a fair punishment for Russian terrorists, the creation of an international mechanism to compensate for all damages caused by Russia.
