This possibility was discussed during a meeting between the company’s director of global business and the head of Lviv OVA.
Today, September 27, the head of Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytskyi met with the global business director of the American company “Amsted Rail” Eric Lukhman. The meeting was also attended by the deputy head of the Lviv OVA Yuriy Buchko and the head of the Association of Transport Infrastructure Innovations of Ukraine Andriy Smorodin.
The company “Amsted Rail” has been operating in Ukraine since 2004 and is engaged in the production of products related to the road industry.
“We cooperate with Ukrzaliznytsia, they are very satisfied with our product there. The bearings we produced for them have been in operation for almost 16 years – this is a unique experience for the Ukrainian railway,” Eric Lukhman emphasized.
He also noted that “Amsted Rail” manufactures products related to freight cars and their stabilization. Components reduce pressure on wheels and rails.
“We want to open the production of bearings and components for railcars in Lviv. It can be both the construction of a plant and cooperation with a company that is already operating on the market. Now we are looking at the territory, warehouses of one of the factories in Lviv region, in order to transport the equipment there,” Eric Lukhman emphasized.
The Amsted Rail company plans to cooperate with this plant in order to return to the Ukrainian market a certain part of road components, the production of which was stopped due to the Russian invasion.
“Lviv region is ready to work with international partners. The convenient location of the region will allow everyone who wants to develop in the region to cooperate with Europe.
I am sure that the cooperation between Amsted Rail and the plant in Lviv Region will be fruitful,” Maksym Kozytsky emphasized.
