Due to the repair of the bridge crossing in Malekhov on the Kyiv-Chop highway on the Eastern approach to the city of Lviv, a detour through Dublyany has been organized

The Road Service in the Lviv region informed about the temporary closure of traffic on the Eastern entrance to the city of Lviv.

Overhaul of the bridge over the Malekhivka River on the M-06-07 Kyiv-Chop highway (Eastern entrance to the city of Lviv) in Malekhiv is underway.

On Tuesday, August 15, starting at 7:00 a.m., in connection with the repair of the bridge, we will close the road on the Eastern entrance to the city of Lviv.

Bypassing the repair site through the ring road of the city of Lviv. Another alternative route will operate for passenger vehicles through the settlements of Dublyany and Velyki Hrybovichi.

“The reinforced concrete crossing was built in 1961. Due to the significant load on the structure for 62 years, its main elements began to collapse. The situation was also significantly affected by two unconnected span structures. As a result, they shifted during traffic.

After conducting a commission survey, the building was recognized as emergency. Load capacity restrictions have been in place here for several years,” says Oleg Bereza, head of the Service for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure in the Lviv Region.

During the repair process, we will carry out the following works:
– we dismantle emergency bridge structures;
– we will rearrange engineering networks;
– we will install bored piles under the support structures;
– we will arrange the supports of the bridge;
– we will lay the beams of span structures and a reinforced concrete slab;
– we will arrange sidewalks;
– we will provide waterproofing and drainage;
– we will lay down layers of asphalt concrete road surface;
– we will install a barrier and guard rail;
– apply horizontal markings and install road signs.

According to the project, we will expand the structure to 19.2 meters and arrange two lanes in one direction.

Thanks to the damping system, we will distribute oncoming traffic flows. And we will also arrange approaches to the crossing from both sides. We plan to complete the repair of the bridge at the end of this fall – the Highway Service said.

We advise drivers to plan their route in advance and follow the requirements of the temporary road signs.
