A large bread factory with 1,000 jobs will be built on the territory of the Obroshinsk community near Lviv. An investor from the east of Ukraine is completing obtaining permits and approvals and plans to start construction in the near future.
The planned construction of a bread factory was reported on August 17 in Lviv OVA. The investor, who previously had a network in the east of Ukraine, is forced to move his business to the Lviv Region due to the war.
“Construction of a new bakery factory on the territory of Lviv district will start soon. The network of factories and sales points was mainly concentrated in the east of Ukraine (Kharkiv and Kyiv). Initially, approximately 1,000 people will work at the plant,” Stepan Kuybida, head of the Department of Economic Policy of the Lviv Regional State Administration, said.

Now the process of producing documentation for the land, approval of design and estimate documentation for construction is being completed. The works are planned to start in the near future. Currently, LOVA does not disclose the name of the company that will build the new bread factory and the amount of investment, explaining that this is the investor’s request.
Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, 203 enterprises have relocated to Lviv region, 130 of them are already working. The most relocated in the following industries: light industry – 39, machine building – 23, metalworking – 23, food industry – 21, chemical industry – 13, medicine – 11, construction – 9, furniture industry – 7, trade – 36.
