Kozytskyi: Lvivoblenergo forms and prepares for the publication of the shutdown schedule for the coming days, so that residents of the region can plan their time

Temporary controlled power outages in the Lviv region: schedules will be published soon

This was announced by the head of LOVA Maksym Kozytskyi.

In the morning, forced shutdowns were introduced in the territory of the Lviv region. The reason for the restrictions is the threat of an imbalance between electricity consumption and generation. That is, consumption in the country’s energy system is approaching a level higher than the level of electricity production in it.

As of now, Lvivoblenergo is forming and preparing for public outages schedule for the coming days so that you can plan your time.

The Lviv Regional State Administration actively communicates with specialists of the Western Territorial Administration of Network Maintenance of NEC “Ukrenergo” – NPC Ukrenergo and “Lvivoblenergo” so that the duration of outages does not exceed 4 hours. Thanks to all the specialists who work around the clock to provide electricity to the population and industrial consumers.

It is important to understand that there is one energy system in Ukraine and Lviv Oblast is a part of it. Therefore, whether there will be a balance in the consumption and generation of electricity depends on all regions of our state. Each of us can contribute to strengthening the state’s energy system.

To do this, today and every day, the following rules should be followed:
📍Use electricity rationally. Turn off all appliances that you are not currently using. Limit the use of electricity as much as possible during peak hours of load on the power system – from 08:00 to 11:00 and from 17:00 to 23:00.
📍Business entities: turn off advertising, lights and outdoor lighting after the end of working hours and during the curfew.
📍If there is such an opportunity, enterprises should partially switch to work at night.
Ukraine and Ukrainians demonstrate their resilience every day. Already more than 8 months of the great war. We will overcome this challenge with dignity and unity. The enemy may temporarily leave us without electricity, but he will never come out of the darkness he has plunged himself into.
