Last night, the seventh of ten five-section low-floor trams of the “Electron” brand was transported to the territory of one of the structural subdivisions of the “Lvivelectrotrans” LKP.
According to the procedure, a new car must undergo a run-in, testing and testing of driving characteristics and braking systems. In the process, it will be equipped with ASOP devices (automated fare payment system) and assigned an inventory number.
“After carrying out all the preparatory work, the tram will be able to run on the line,” Lviv Electrotrans LLP reported.
We would like to remind you that the renewal of the rolling stock of “Lvivelectrotrans” LKP is taking place with loan funds from the European Investment Bank (EIB). This became possible thanks to Lviv’s participation in the “Urban Public Transport of Ukraine” project, which is a framework loan from the EIB. As part of the project, the city received a EUR 12 million loan for the purchase of ten five-section low-floor trams.
In 2020, LKP “Lvivelectrotrans” purchased 10 five-section low-floor trams from the “ElectronMash” company, with a total cost of 17.3 million euros without VAT. According to plans, the delivery of the remaining three trams is expected by June this year.
