As of today, “Lvivgaz sales” LLC, operating under the brand TVY GAZZBUT, has returned 959,000 hryvnias of overpayments and erroneously paid amounts for natural gas consumed in May to customers – household consumers.
“We are making maximum efforts to resolve this issue. Refunds are ongoing and we ask our customers to be patient. “Unfortunately, the state of war and the actions of Naftogaz of Ukraine slow down the refund process, but we will try to complete it as soon as possible,” said Pavlo Maik, Director of Lvivgaz Sales.
The change of supplier for household consumers of LLC “Lvivgaz Zbut” took place in June, although the official date of the change of supplier on the information platform of the Operator of the GTS of Ukraine is 01.05.2022. In the absence of communication with consumers from the new supplier, LLC “GC “Naftogaz of Ukraine”, some customers transferred the payment for May to the accounts of the previous supplier.
“We officially learned about the transfer of our customers to the “supplier of last hope” only on June 12. After we found out about the change of supplier from the information platform of “Operator GTS of Ukraine” LLC, we started to inform our consumers about it,” said the director of the company.
It is impossible to automatically transfer an overpayment from a personal account at Lvivgaz zbut LLC to the client’s personal account at Naftogaz Ukraine LLC, since these are different legal entities. Currently, there is no mechanism agreed by the parties for automatic transfer of funds from the personal accounts of consumers of one company to the personal accounts of consumers of another, since no agreement has been reached with LLC “GC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” on this issue.
“If the consumer has an overpayment or has paid for gas by mistake, he can send us an application for a refund,” said the director of Lvivgaz Sales LLC.
We will remind you that at the end of April this year, the Cabinet of Ministers introduced a mechanism of special obligations for the supply of gas to the population, the conditions of which could not be fulfilled by any major supplier in Ukraine. Because of this, the vast majority of suppliers did not conclude new contracts for the purchase of gas for the public with Naftogaz Trading. As a result, more than 90% of domestic consumers of Ukraine ended up being served by the “supplier of last resort”, whose functions are performed by “GC “Naftogaz of Ukraine”.
