Two miners fatally injured at Lvivvuhillya mine

On 29 June, at 13:20, at the Revival mine of Lvivvuhillya, at the junction of the 174th assembly chamber with the 174th conveyor drift of the Sokalsky seam, roof rocks collapsed under the influence of mining pressure.

As a result, miners Andrey Konchuk and Vladimir Makogin were fatally injured. Mining rescuers of the LV Mining Group are working at the site. The sad news was reported in Lvivvuhillya.

The administration and staff of Lvivvuhillya, the Lviv Territorial Organisation of the Trade Union of Coal Industry Workers of Ukraine and the Regional Association of the Independent Trade Union of Miners of Ukraine in Chervonograd deeply mourn the tragic deaths at the Vidrodzhennia mine:

The inexorable death of miners who brought warmth and light to the homes of Ukrainians through their courageous work took them away from us prematurely. We share the pain of irreparable loss with the families and friends of the victims. The mining community of Lviv region bows its heads in mourning for its colleagues.

Andrey Vladimirovich Konchuk was born on 09.08.1986. He worked at Vidrodzhennya mine for 2 years and 11 months, and before that at Velykomostovska mine. The wife Solomiya, sons Artem, born in 2013, and Matvey, born in 2015, the relatives and friends mourn him.

Vladimir Makogin was born on 25 July 1987. He worked at the Revival mine for six years and two months. He is mourned by his wife Maria, son Demian born in 2014 and daughter Victoria born in 2019, relatives and friends.
