In Lviv, cashless payment has been restored in all public transport: from tomorrow, control will work on the lines

In Lviv, the cashless payment system was restored in all public transport of the city. Therefore, passengers can already pay for travel with a LeoKart card, bank cards or gadgets with NFC support in all modes of transport. This was reported in the Department of Mobility and Street Infrastructure of the LMR.

According to Oleg Zabaryl, head of the department of urban mobility and street infrastructure of the LMR, from Friday, December 22, after a 10-day break, the controllers will be fully operational again on all routes. Therefore, in order to avoid a fine, passengers are asked to be responsible and pay/validate the fare.

When paying in cash, you must get a ticket with a QR code from the driver. If you pay for the trip without cash – with a bank card or LeoKart – make sure that the trip is registered: a green mark appeared on the validator and a single beep sounded. Beneficiaries and students must also validate their LeoKarts. The fine for unpaid/unvalidated travel is UAH 300.

“If any of the vehicles have difficulties making a cashless payment, please contact the Hotline at number 15-80. We also ask that you inform us now about cases when the driver does not issue a ticket when paying in cash, or issues an old-style ticket. Starting tomorrow, control will be fully operational on the lines, and the lack of a ticket for a passenger when paying in cash is a risk of receiving a fine,” said Oleg Zabarilo, head of the Department of Urban Mobility and Street Infrastructure of the LMR.

As a reminder, in connection with a large-scale disruption in the work of the mobile operator “Kyivstar”, there were temporary difficulties with cashless payment in city transport in Lviv. In this regard, starting from December 12 and up to and including today, controllers do not issue fines to passengers, but carry out explanatory work and help to pay for travel.
