Lvavtodor reminds passengers that if the LeoCard has a negative balance, the system will block it. Accordingly, the validator will reject the trip registration.
In order to unlock the shared LeoCard, it must be recharged. Unlocking is automatic, but not instantaneous.
“The card will be unlocked automatically after the “minus” is replenished. After replenishment, it takes about 10 minutes for the system to unlock the card. This depends on the availability of a stable connection with the vehicle.
We emphasize once again: unlocking does not happen instantly. Therefore, it is important to replenish your LeoCard in time and maintain a positive card balance to avoid blocking situations,” noted Lvivavtodor.
The transport card can be recharged through the EasyPay app and website, EasyPay terminals, and branded Interpress kiosks. Detailed instructions on how to do this can be found here.
As a reminder, you can check the current amount on your transport card through EasyPay services, a validator in public transport, and Interpress branded kiosks. Step-by-step instructions on how to check your card balance are available here.
We would like to add that you can buy a general card “for everyone” (red) at Interpress branded kiosks, as well as at EasyPay terminals equipped with special dispensers.
By the way, in Lviv, 65% of public transport passengers pay for/register their trips with LeoCard cards – general, student, pupil and discounted cards. In total, over 370 thousand LeoCards have been issued and purchased by residents so far.
