A manufacturer of building materials from Ireland plans to create 600 jobs in Lviv region

We are currently negotiating with a company that completely withdrew from the Russian market back in April and wants to open its production facilities in the Lviv region – this was reported in the Lviv OVA

Heat insulation and building materials manufacturer Kingspan has announced that it is investing 200 million euros in a new construction technology campus in Ukraine and plans to create about 600 jobs.

Land requirements:

– 40-50 hectares – for 5-6 factories;

– Communal or private property;

– They need a location closer to Lviv, preferably to the west of the border;

– Access to significant reserves of renewable energy.
A large mineral wool factory is planned, which consumes a lot of energy;

– Access to the gas pipeline and uninterrupted gas supply;

– Access to water supply;

– Access (less than 5 km) to the main highway. Proximity to the railway network;

– Public transport nearby, for employees (will be a strong advantage);

Earlier, the intention to create new production facilities in Ukraine was announced by the company itself, which produces advanced insulation products and solutions for centralized heating.

“These technologies are central to urgent efforts to decarbonize the global built environment, which is responsible for 39% of all energy-related carbon emissions,” it said.

It was then reported that the campus would be fully completed within 5 years. Kingspan also noted that the investment in the campus is at the intersection of three crises: climate, energy and the crisis caused by Russia’s war against Ukraine.
