A 19-year-old Lviv resident wanted to get a fictitious status of a father with many children for 10 thousand US dollars

Under the procedural supervision of prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a 19-year-old Lviv resident was served a notice of suspicion. He is charged with organizing the illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine (Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, the suspect assisted in organizing the illegal transportation of a person liable for military service across the state border of Ukraine during martial law.

In exchange for a monetary reward, he promised to produce fictitious documents on the status of a father with many children.

The price of the service was USD 10,000.

The man was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the CPC of Ukraine – while receiving the declared “fee”.

The prosecutor filed a motion to the court to choose a custody as a measure of restraint.

The pre-trial investigation is carried out by investigators of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv region, operational support is provided by officers of the Strategic Investigations Department in Lviv region of the State Investigation Department of the National Police of Ukraine and operational officers of the Lviv Border Guard Detachment.

Note: In accordance with Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until his or her guilt is proved in accordance with the law and established by a court verdict of guilty.
