Prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office filed an indictment against a 20-year-old resident of Lviv Region for seizing someone else’s property by deception, which caused significant damage to the victim (Part 2 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that the accused seized 140,000 hryvnias from volunteers, selling low-quality metal plates to the latter for the needs of volunteer battalions.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the Investigative Department of the State Unitary Enterprise in the Lviv Region with the operational support of the Ukrainian SSR in the Lviv Region of the National Police of Ukraine.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and may not be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proved in law and established by a court conviction.
