25-Year-Old Resident of Novoyavorivsk Detained for Armed Robbery at Gas Station in Lviv Region

Crime at the Gas Station in Lviv Region

A 25-year-old man from Novoyavorivsk has been detained under the procedural control of the Pustomyty District Prosecutor’s Office, accused of armed robbery. The incident occurred at night in January of this year. The offender, threatening the gas station operators with an object resembling a pistol, took the cash available in the register and quickly left the scene.

The effective work of law enforcement agencies allowed for the swift identification and detention of the criminal. The man has already been informed of the suspicion of committing robbery under part 4 of Article 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and according to the prosecutor’s request, he has been placed in custody as a preventive measure.

Preliminary Investigation is Ongoing

Investigators are currently working on establishing all the circumstances of the crime and other possibly involved persons. The investigation is being conducted by the investigative department of police station No. 1 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2 of the Main Department of the National Police in the Lviv Region.

Let us recall that according to the Constitution of Ukraine, every person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
