38-year-old woman in Lviv organised sale of psychotropic drugs

She was selling Alpha-PVP – police served a notice of suspicion to a resident of Lviv

It was established that the 38-year-old offender was involved in the sale of psychotropic drugs by hand-to-hand. The detainee faces up to ten years in prison with confiscation of property.

The offender was exposed by criminal police operatives and investigators of the Police Department No. 2 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2 under the procedural supervision of the Frankivsk District Prosecutor’s Office.

Law enforcers documented several facts of sale of psychotropic substance in Sykhiv district of the city and detained her after another sale in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

During an authorised search at the suspect’s residence, the police found ziplock bags and rolls with a packaged substance similar to Alpha-PVP, packaging equipment, electronic scales, mobile phones and other material evidence. All the seized items were sent to the Lviv Scientific Research Forensic Centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine for examination.

Investigators of the territorial police unit served the offender a notice of suspicion of committing a criminal offence under Part 2 of Art. 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, transfer or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The suspect faces imprisonment for a term of six to ten years with confiscation of property.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, the issue of choosing a type of detention is being decided.
