An intruder who tried to avoid mobilization and illegally cross the border of Ukraine will be tried in Lviv region

A 58-year-old Kyiv resident faces up to two years in prison

According to the Yavoriv District Police Department, the man provided his personal data for the production of a forged temporary conscript’s certificate, which included information on deferment of conscription, which, in turn, entitles him to leave Ukraine during martial law. and exempts from mobilization for service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On March 21, the man presented this certificate to a border guard inspector at the Hrushiv-Budomezh crossing while trying to cross the state border of Ukraine with the Republic of Poland. Border guards found that the document showed signs of forgery and reported the incident to police.

Investigators of the Yavoriv District Police Department informed the perpetrator of the suspicion of committing criminal offenses under Part 5 of Article 27 Part 1 of Article 358 (Assistance in forging an official document issued and certified by an institution authorized to issue and certify such documents, and which grants rights and releases from duty, for the purpose of its use) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and under Part 4 of Article 358 (Use of knowingly forged document) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the sanctions of the article is restriction of liberty for up to two years.

The pre-trial investigation has been completed, the indictment has been sent to court.
