$6,800 for entering information into the Shlyach system – an attempt to send a conscript abroad was exposed in Lviv Oblast

Under the procedural guidance of the Yavoriv district prosecutor’s office, a resident of Drohobytskyi district was arrested for the fact of illegally transporting persons across the state border of Ukraine, committed for selfish reasons (Part 3, Article 332 of the Criminal Code).

It was established that the 32-year-old man organized the scheme of illegal transportation of persons of conscription age across the state border in order to evade mobilization. For USD 6,800, the person involved had to ensure that information about the evader was entered into the “Shlyah” system, which grants the right to travel abroad without hindrance.

The man was detained at a gas station near the Sheghini-Medyka checkpoint after receiving “payment”.

Searches were conducted in the vehicle and at the suspect’s place of residence, during which items were seized that confirm the suspect’s commission of illegal actions.

At present, a petition has been prepared to choose him as a preventive measure in the form of detention.

Sanction, part 3 of Art. 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of seven to nine years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years with confiscation of property.

The pre-trial investigation is carried out by the investigators of the Yavorivskyi RVP of the State Police of Ukraine in the Lviv region based on the materials of the Yavorivskyi RV USB of Ukraine in the Lviv region.

Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
