The SBU found more than UAH 8 million in cash from an official of the Lviv City Council and her accomplices, who are suspected of illegally transporting conscripts abroad

Employees of the Security Service exposed criminals who “helped” conscripts to leave Ukraine using forged documents on the grounds of “unsuitability for military service.”

The organizer of the scheme is the head of one of the district departments of social protection of the department of humanitarian policy of the Lviv City Council, and her accomplices were employees of a medical institution.

For $1,300, the official guaranteed the production of “certificates”, which are included in the review report of the Medical and Social Expert Commission on the establishment of a disability group. Such “documents” are the basis for men of conscription age to go abroad under martial law.

The official was detained according to Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine – after the transfer of counterfeits to the client. She has already been notified of the suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 332 (illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

During the searches, law enforcement officers found:
– documentation confirming the organization of the specified criminal scheme;
– two premium class cars worth over $75,000;
– more than UAH 8 million in hryvnia equivalent.

So far, the persons who managed to use illegal services have been identified. Regarding them, a decision will be made separately by the relevant law enforcement agencies.

A pre-trial investigation is underway to prosecute all participants in the illegal scheme.

The detection of the scheme was carried out by operatives of the SBU of the Lviv Region together with police investigators under the procedural guidance of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
